Borussia Dortmund have officially confirmed they have completed the signing of Lorient defender Raphael Guerreiro, both Arsenal and Liverpool wanted to sign the Portuguese defender as well.
reports out of France have been circulating that the 22-year-old youngster was set to reject any interest from Premier League clubs and choose Dortmund instead.
The Bundesliga club have now confirmed the arrival of the Portuguese star, who has reportedly signed a four-year deal with a fee of around £9m.
BVB’s sporting director Michael Zorc is very happy with the deal and said:
“Raphaël Guerreiro is a technically skilled player who feels at home in several positions at home.
“We are very happy that he chose Borussia Dortmund.”
The German club is said to pay around £10million for the Portugal international, this comes with a 20% sell-on fee clause which will also be apart of the transfer.
Guerreiro is now expected to pass a medical in Paris today.
