Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell has personally asked Arsenal to allow him to leave the club before the end of the window.
It is understood that Benfica are ready to bring the want-away winger to Portugal, as Campbell is unwilling to play a bench role as expected by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Previously Wenger had ruled out a move away for Campbell this season, but it appears that the player wants regular first-team football elsewhere.
Any decision to allow the Costa Rican to leave, will likely be dependable on wether Arsenal can bring a striker in before the 11pm deadline.
Wenger has been linked with a swoop for Monaco striker Falcao, but any deal would face competition from the likes of Manchester United and City.
