Cardiff City are set to sign Manchester United winger Wilifried Zaha, with the England Under 21 international reportedly down in South Wales to tie up a loan move.

United are set to approve the move, now that David Moyes has captured Juan Mata, for a huge fee of ÂŁ37.1 million.

Cardiff wanted to complete the deal before Saturday’s FA Cup win away at Championship side Bolton Wanderers, however, with the Mata move complete, Zaha looks set to move to Solskjaer’s men.

Zaha joined the club from Crystal Palace in the January of last year for a ÂŁ15 million fee, but was immediately loaned back to Palace, and guided the Eagles to the Premier League.

Since his move to Old Trafford, Zaha, who was signed when Sir Alex Ferguson was United’s manager, has started just two games, the Community Shield victory over Wigan and the League Cup fourth-round win against Norwich.

The winger has had a torried time at Old Trafford, making just two appearances this season.

A move to Cardiff could reignite his career, and give him regular first team football.

Other Premier League clubs, such as Newcastle United and West Ham United have reportedly been interested in a move for the winger, but it appears Cardiff have won the race for the youngster.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently bottom of the Premier League with 18 points from 22 games.
