CARLO ANCELOTTI: No feud between both Ronaldo and Bale

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has stated that there is no rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, in the wake of recent rumours.

Bale, aged 25, had previously been jeered by Real Madrid supporters in a recent win over Espanyol, despite scoring in the fixture, for not passing to the un-marked Cristiano Ronaldo when through on goal, with Bale choosing to shoot wide of the post, in the 3-0 win last weekend.

Several Spanish publications then reported that Ronaldo was unhappy at the former Tottenham man for wasting an opportunity, with Ronaldo late clearing the air and backing Bale in a recent interview: “The people will be nice with him and they should be nice. Things with Gaz are normal.

“They [fans] know that Gaz is a very important player for us, a key player.”

But following Real’s aggregate defeat to Atletico Madrid on Thursday evening in the Copa Del Rey, Ancelotti insisted that there was no fall-out whatsoever between the pair.

“Their relationship is excellent. I’ve seen the passage of play from the other day and I thought it was difficult to pass the ball.

“I don’t need to talk to Gareth about that. He’s doing very well, he played a fantastic match against Espanyol.
