Colombian informs agent he’d like Liverpool move

Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca has informed his agent that he would be interested in a move to Premier League side Liverpool.

The Colombian is heavily expected to leave the Spanish club this summer, and The Reds are a team showing strong interest in him, with chief executive Ian Ayre reportedly out in Chile to hold talks with the striker.

Ayre has been at the Copa America finalising a deal for Roberto Firmino, and now it’s reported that he is to stay out in South America to hold talks with Bacca and his representatives.

According to the star’s agent, a move to Liverpool could happen as the striker has reportedly given his permission to that certain move.

Agent Reveals Liverpool Option

‘We are really looking at three things – number one is to have a happy family situation for his wife and son because he had a bad experience in Belgium,’ he told the Guardian.

‘The second is to find a good team with a good project. Before he went to Chile, we wrote down a list of clubs that fit that description and Liverpool was on that list.

‘The third question is the contract. He has a good salary in Sevilla but we know how much clubs in England can pay.’

Release Clause

If Liverpool want to make Bacca another summer signing of theirs, they will have to meet his release clause of £21.5million.
