Casemiro confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Real Madrid

The Portuguese star hinted at shock exit after Champions League victory

Real Madrid won their 13th Champions League title after beating Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday. It was their 3rd consecutive title and 4th in 5 years, they hold the record for the most victories.

Gareth Bale was star of the match , as he came off the bench when the scoreline was 1-1 and scored 2 consecutive goals to help the team lift the trophy.

But Cristiano Ronaldo hinted at shock exit after the match by referring him time at the club in Past Tense and claimed that he will talk about it more in the coming days. Though he claimed he is happy and wants to enjoy the moment.

“Now we have to enjoy this moment,” Ronaldo told beIN Sports  after the game. “In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that have always been on my side.

“It was very nice to be at Real Madrid, in the coming days I will talk about it more.”

When asked if he was saying goodbye, Ronaldo answered: “No, no. I’m going to enjoy this moment with my colleagues. In the next few days I will give an answer.

“We made history, that’s what we were looking for, the future of any player is not important, the important thing is that we made history.”

But the 33 year old’s club teammate Casemiro is very confident that he will stay at the club next season and admitted that he had already made a bet with him.

“I’ve already bet with him. I bet he stays,” the Brazil international said as quoted by Goal

He said that he would welcome new additions but wants more of the same form the Portugal International.

“Of course, every year people talk about who arrives and who leaves. No doubt players like Neymar, [Eden] Hazard and [Robert] Lewandowski have lots of quality,” he said.

“They are always welcome here because they have a lot of quality, but what I want from Cristiano is what he has been doing.

“And in the ends in the finals, it’s always the same.”
