They claim Liverpool star is Barca’s no.1 target
Catalan press are claiming that Barcelona have made Phillippe Coutinho their number 1 transfer priority.
The Reds star appeared on the magazine ‘SPORT’, with the report suggesting that Coutinho has ‘Barca DNA’, and that the Spanish side are hoping that his strong relationship with fellow Brazlian, and Barcelona star, Neymar, will help get a deal done.
It’s been branded ‘Objective Coutinho’ by the magazine.
Coutinho scored Brazil’s first goal in a 3-0 win over their fiercest rivals Argentina last night, coming in the same stadium as the country’s biggest footballing humiliation – the 7-1 World Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of Germany in 2014.
Liverpool have made it clear that the offer must be incredibly high if Barca want to sign Coutinho, with the rumours saying that they’re asking for a similar sum to the £65million that was enough for them to sell Luis Suarez 2 summers ago.
But with Jurgen Klopp building something much more substantial for Coutinho than Brendan Rodgers ever did for Suarez, the story might not be so clear cut this time around.
