Manchester United have made a move for Edinson Cavani.
The former Napoli and PSG striker became a free agent this summer and up until last night there was very little talk regarding his future after talks with Atletico Madrid collapsed.
It seems now he has been thrown a lifeline on the final day of the transfer deadline for the summer window. The Red Devils have had an extremely disappointing transfer window.
They have only added Donny Van De Beek this summer despite needing reinforcements in multiple position. One of the more important positions which needs reinforcing is the wing forward department.
However, United failed to get their first choice in Dortmund’s Sancho. So they moved on to other targets.
It now seems after failing to get any move done, they are bringing in a 32-year-old free agent in Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan forward has an excellent track record as a striker but may not be exactly what United needs right now.
The move will watch competition add for Anthony Martial who plays the number nine role at the club. However, it will certainly bring an end to the run of Odion Ighalo at the club!
