The Uruguay international’s father would like to see him play for the Red Devils.

Luiz Cavani – the father of Edinson Cavani – has claimed he would like to see his son play for Man United.

The striker’s future at PSG has been uncertain over the past few weeks, with manager Laurent Blanc suggesting that he could sell the forward on and several clubs are interested in signing him.

One of those clubs is Man United, who could launch a bid to land the Uruguay international in the summer if Jose Mourinho takes the helm at the club. It seems as the player’s father would be up for his son making the move to Old Trafford with him claiming that he would like to see his son play for the Red Devils or Real Madrid or Juventus too.

He said: “Edinson is suffering at PSG. If they let him play as the number nine he will be happy.

“I would like to see him play for Real Madrid, Manchester United or Juventus.”

His father could certainly get his wish with United, as previously mentioned, contemplating a summer bid for the 29-year old.

Cavani has featured 33 times for the club so far this year and bagged 15 goals. However, he is currently not being played much in his favoured position as a central striker and has instead found himself pushed out to the left and having to feature more as a left winger.

It’s led to suggestions the player could leave to get more first-team action and more action his favoured position and it could very well happen in the summer.
