Cazorla exit?

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla may be on his way out of the Emirates following reports linking him with Atletcio Madrid as the Spanish champions begin work on trying to sign him.

The 29 year-old made a move to North London from Malaga back in 2012 but is already linked with a transfer back to La Liga with three years still left on his current Arsenal deal.

Cazorla made 47 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side last season and scored 7 goals (including one in the FA Cup final) with 9 assists, but he also admits the temptation to join the Champions League runners up is very great.

The playmaker told reporters: “When the World Cup is over, I’ll start thinking about my situation.

“I don’t want to be thinking about it right now and I’ve told my agents not to tell me anything if an offer comes in.

“But I know a few of the Atletico players – [Diego] Godin, Juanfran – and I know the side well from when I was playing the Spanish league.

“But until the tournament is over, I won’t know if the rumours are true or not.”

Atletico will have money to spend this summer should the deals of Diego Costa and Felipe Luis to Chelsea both be completed, coming to around ÂŁ55m.

But no deals are expected to be spoken about openly until after the World Cup ends in July.
