Ex-defender urges star to quit

Chelsea ace Petr Cech has been told to leave Stamford Bridge this summer by Blues legend, Marcel Desailly.

Arsenal and Manchester United are leading the race to sign the 33-year-old, who has found chances limited this season after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois.

Former Chelsea and France defender, Desailly, thinks Cech should leave the club if a good offer comes in, with £10million being enough for owner, Roman Abramovich to sell the Czech Republic international.

Desailly Advises Star to Quit

Desailly said: “It is obvious – he needs to leave. He has only two more years left of playing football.

“He needs to go and enjoy it if he is someone who is motivated to play, unless he wants to sit and play 10 games in the year and grab his money.” he added.

Chelsea Fans Need Acceptance

The Frenchman went on to say that Chelsea fans will have to get used to Cech, who has been at the Blues for over ten years, playing for a Premier League rival.

“From the beginning of the season you have to accept that he will face Chelsea. Petr Cech has given quite a lot for Chelsea and it is time to go now.” he continued.
