Glasgow Celtic have signed Manchester City striker John Guidetti on a season long loan, according to Sky Sports News.
The 22 year old, who is out of favour at Manchester City, was set to join either Fiorentina or Palermo on a loan deal, however any deal for the Italian sides collapsed.
Celtic were set to sign Sporting Gijon striker Stefan Scepovic, however the deal then went swiftly cold at the last minute.
Guidetti spent the second half of last season at Stoke City, however he only made six appearances for the Potters during a loan spell.
He seems surplus to requirements at City, with Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic, all above him in the Citizens pecking oder.
The Glasgow club will be hoping that they can make the move permanent in the future, with Guidetti’s only having a year to run on his current deal at City.
