FC Barcelona midfielder has revealed his intentions are to stay in Spain for the long-term, despite continous reports linking him with a move back to England and the Premier League.
The Spanish international left Arsenal in order to join his boyhood club Barca a few seasons ago, and ever since, every year he has been linked with a move back.
This Summer, Fabregas was heavily monitored by Manchester United and David Moyes was desperate to land a top-class midfielder, but unfortunately for Moyes, they failed to strike a deal.
In a recent interview, the 26-year-old has revealed that he would love to return to Arsenal one day, but he has now insisted that his future is at the Nou Camp.
“It would be a dream come true to retire with Barca,” he told fans on Facebook.
“I will continue to work very hard to make that happen.
“Playing here is a dream and means everything to me because I have always been a huge fan.”
Despite his long-term love for FC Barcelona, Fabregas has revealed what his highlight in his career is so far.
“Scoring against Spurs,” he replied.
