Chelsea Football Club have announced the news that they have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for left-back Filipe Luis.
The Blues have been after a fullback since they decided to release Ashley Cole after his contract expired, and Luis was clearly their number-one target since the end of the season, and now the two parties have reached an agreement for a deal, reportedly worth around £20million.
The 28-year-old will now fly to London to have a medical and discuss personal terms with the West London club.
Luis will become the second player Chelsea have signed from Madrid after Diego Costa was announced yesterday in a deal worth £32million.
