Pogba, 21, left Old Trafford back in 2012 to Juventus for a free transfer, and has since become one of the world’s best midfielders.

His impressive performances last season, including his shining World Cup display, gave him a deserved place in the 23-man shortlist for the Balllon d’Or award and also earned him the prize of the  Best Young Player in Brazil.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the past months, with Manchester United and Chelsea believed to be the most interested. And it is understood that Pogba now wants a move to a more competitive league.

Chelsea and United have both been told by Italian champions Juventus that they will have to pay at least ÂŁ55 million for the French international, but it is now known that it will take a fee more around the region of ÂŁ70 to add the midfielder to their respecitve squads.
