Chelsea and Manchester United told to bid big for Arturo Vidal

Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea have been told by Serie A champions Juventus that if they bid big enough, they could land themselves midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho are both keen to add strength in depth to their squads, despite the latter revealing no more signings will be made, and Vidal is both on their wishlist after the Chilean impressed throughout the Italian campaign and also the World Cup.

The 27-year-old is highly rated as one of the best midfielders in European football, and both United and Chelsea have been monitoring his situation since the World Cup, but the midfielder has kept his cards close to his chest admitting that he hasn’t discussed his future with the club yet.

As for Juve, they have released a statement claiming they have no intentions to sell Vidal, but would listen to offers if they were high enough.

“Our strategy is clear; we want to keep all our best players, including Vidal and Pogba.

“We don’t want to sell anyone, especially Vidal.

“Certainly, if there were a high bid for them, we’d have to think about it but we don’t want to sell our champions.

“We want to be competitive in the Champions League and the only sales to be players who are not part of our plans.”
