Antonio Rudiger is a Chelsea target, states agent
The agent of Stuttgart defender, Antonio Rudiger, has claimed that Chelsea are monitoring the movement of his client, as they prepare to launch a bid for the starlet.
Fellow Bundesliga sides, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg have also expressed an interest in the 22-year-old, who broke through into the international set-up last season.
Remaining in Germany?
However, agent Sahr Senesie, has confirmed that Premier League title-holders Chelsea, have made a formal approach for Rudiger, to secure his services.
He told German magazine Kicker: “I know of interest from Wolfsburg and Chelsea.”
Fellow publication, Bild, suggest that despite interest from the West-Londoners, a deal with Wolfsburg has already been agreed, in what would be a blow to Jose Mourinho’s defensive plans.
In what could prove to be quite a non-story in the first place, his agent confirmed that the player wants to remain in the German top-flight, next term.
Antonio would prefer to stay in Germany.” Senesie added.
Rudiger featured 21 times for VBF Stuttgart in the 2014/15 season – and the Berlin-born player has made 60 appearances, since turning professional at the same club in 2011.
Stuttgart staved off relegation on the final day of the season, beating Padeborn, who were relegated, 2-1.
