Chelsea fans are spreading some good news after it was apparently revealed that Antonio Conte is very close to signing a new contract with the Blues.
According to reports from Italy, Conte will now sign on until 2021 that will see him earn around £9.5m and £10m a year, making him the best paid manager in the club’s history.
The Italian still has two years left to run on his current contract but the club are keen to keep him there especially after helped the side win the Premier League title in his first season.
Conte is said to have held talks with club director Marina Granovskaia on Sunday and was happy with discussions over his contract and the club’s summer plans.
The news comes just after rumours only last week that suggested Conte was on the verge of leaving the club after becoming frustrated with the lack of transfer activity ahead of the new season.
