In yesterday’s Premier League clash between mega-rich Chelsea and Manchester City, the manager’s of both sides did not shake hands at the full-time whistle after it appeared that Manuel Pellegrini wasn’t happy with how Jose Mourinho acted after his side scored a last-minute winner at Stamford Bridge.

The game ended 2-1 to Chelsea thanks to a late strike from Fernando Torres, and after the Spaniard netted the winner, Mourinho jumped into the crowd and celebrated with the fans, which didn’t go down well with his opposite number.

After the game, City boss Pellegrini, said this about the matter:

“I did not expect anything different from him,” said Pellegrini. “It is normal.”

As for Mourinho, he apologised to the City staff if his actions offended them.

“If they feel I did something wrong, I apologise.”

“This is the drama of the last minute,” said Mourinho. “He [Pellegrini] lost the game in the last minute, and I have sympathy with that.

“In other countries and cultures we shake hands before the game, and that is it.

“If he was sad because of the result I understand, if he was sad because I did something wrong, I accept that too.”
