Chelsea closing in on Juan Cuadrado

Chelsea are close to sealing a deal for Fiorentina star, Juan Cuadrado, after the two parties have reportedly agreed a fee.

According to reports, the Premier League giants are willing to meet the Colombian’s release clause in his contract which is around £26million, and it’s likely that The Blues will announce the deal on deadline day on Monday.

Both parties have been in talks for over a week now, with Cuadrado’s agent in London doing most of the negotiations with Chelsea, and it finally seems that the two clubs have agreed on a fee and it’s now down to the player to agree personal terms.

Another possible option for Chelsea is offering Mohamed Salah on loan to the Serie A side, which could see the price-tag lower by £2m to £24m.

It isn’t yet clear which the Premier League leaders would prefer to do.
