Blues believe they can beat Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to striker
Chelsea are feeling confident about their chances of signing West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, despite Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both being interested.
The Blues reportedly entered the race to sign the striker this week, as did United, with both clubs preparing formal offers in the New Year as they eye enforcement in the attacking department.
Wayne Rooney is struggling for form, while Anthony Martial has suffered a nasty injury during international break. As for Chelsea, they have an out-of-form Diego Costa and a failing Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy in their ranks.
Berahino On the Move?
With both clubs keen on adding a striker to their squads, Berahino is their prime-target and with the forward still unsettled at The Hawthorns due to the summer saga, he could be set to move in the New Year.
Berahino was furious with the Baggies for blocking his move to Spurs over the summer and vented his frustrations on social media.
However, since then he has made up with the club, but it’s still believed he may seek a move away in January.
Berahino is valued at around £20million.
