Chelsea have confirmed that they have made a bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney but that it was rejected.
They have also denied the rumour that Juan Mata or David Luiz were offered to United in exchange.
What Chelsea have offered for Wayne Rooney is unclear and confidential but the London club didn’t want to make Juan Mata nor David Luiz confused and had to tell what was really going on.
Mourinho has shown interest in the striker and will try to sign him this summer although Moyes has stated that he is not for sale.
