Chelsea are set to continue negotiations with Didier Drogba, over a return to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.
The 36 year old is a free agent after leaving Turkish club Galatasaray after a two year stint, and is hopefull of a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
He is still very much an icon amongst the blues supporters, having left Chelsea in 2012 after an eight year spell at the Bridge, after signing from Marseille in the summer of 2004.
Mourinho is keen to add an extra striker to his ranks following the departures of Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o, with Drogba also being viewed for a coaching role, should he re-sign for the West London club.
But Chelsea have competition on their hands, with reports in Italy suggesting that Juventus, as well as clubs in the middle east are keen on the veteran forward.
