According to reports, Chelsea are No.1 favourites in the race for highly-rated Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
According to Italian site Mondo-Inter.it, the French star is ready to turn down offers from Inter Milan in favour of a club in the Champions League next season, meaning a Tolisso deal with Chelsea could be very much on the cards for him.
Corentino Tolisso has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs and now it’s widely reported that Chelsea Football Club are the top favorites to land the midfielder.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with not only Chelsea, but Napoli, Juventus and both Milan clubs and, following Lyon’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, it’s said Tolisso is keen to explore his options.
He recently revealed he had rejected opportunities to leave last summer.
He told Lyonnais newspaper Le Progres: ‘It was a tricky time, I was young and I still wanted to play for Lyon in their new stadium. There was the Champions League and I thought we had a good team.
‘If there are offers I will study them with my advisors and my parents, then I will go and tell the president (Jean-Michel Aulas) that I want to leave.
‘I’ve listened to his words, he’s said there have been no new offers, so when we talk together I would like the situation to be clarified as soon as possible.
‘Until June 13 I am fully focused on the French national team.’
Tarare-born Tolisso, who also plays at right-back, has spent his entire senior career with Lyon, making his senior debut in 2013 and going on to make 160 appearances in all competitions for Les Gones.
