AS Monaco midfielder wanted by Premier League duo
Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle it out for AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The powerhouse has been a standout performer for the Ligue 1 side this season, and scored at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season during the French side’s shock 3-1 win over The Gunners in the Champions League.
Kondogbia has been at the heart of Monaco‘s midfield throughout the season and has recently been tied down to a long-term contact which will expire in 2018.
Premier League Interest
Despite the long-term deal, both Chelsea and Arsenal are still reportedly keen on signing the midfielder over the Summer and could bid as high as £25million.
The Frenchman’s stock has risen quickly over the last 12-months and he could earn himself a mega-money move to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Chelsea to rival Arsenal
The 22-year-old looked like he was set for a move to Arsenal if anywhere, but Chelsea have now reportedly entered the race and could make a formal move in the Summer.
Jose Mourinho is keen to add depth to his title-winning side and could bring in Kondogbia to help Nemanja Matic in the heart of Chelsea’s midfield.
