Chelsea have joined the race to sign Celta Vigo winger Nolito but face tough competition from Arsenal and Barcelona.
The 29-year-old has set La Liga alight this season, scoring six goals in just eight appearances.
Chelsea are closely monitoring the former Barcelona and Benfica man and are poised to make a hefty bid in the January transfer window, according to news publication El Periodico Mediterraneo.
However, the current Premier League face tough competition from English interest after nine top flight clubs sent scouts over to watch the attacking playmaker last weekend.
The Celts have had an impressive start to their campaign in sitting second in the La Liga table, level on points with leader Real Madrid and it is understood that they don’t want Nolito to leave the Balaidos as they aim to claim a European spot for next season.
