Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba all out

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will have a selection headache when his side go up against Arsenal on Sunday with all three of his first-team strikers ruled out through injury.

Both Costa and Remy had to sit out of The Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday, leaving Drogba to play the full 90-minutes, but the Ivorian tweeted last night that he has sustained an ankle injury.

Drogba was set to play in a charity match last night, but he tweeted: “Disappointed not to be able to play the MAP2015 because of an ankle injury but still supporting EbolaResponse.”

Some fans accused him of bailing out of the game to avoid injury, to which he responded with: ‘I’m already injured if you can read well my friend.’

Trio of Injuries

With Costa and Remy both already missing the Arsenal game, Mourinho will now be sweating on Drogba’s fitness levels ahead of their trip to the Emirates Stadium.

Costa is still out due to his hamstring issues, whilst Remy injured his calf last week.

Drogba has a superb record against The Gunners and will be desperate to play with a win almost guaranteeing yet another Premier League title for the West London outfit.
