Chelsea have been handed a boost ahead of their London derby with Arsenal after John Terry confirmed he has returned to training.
The Blues captain picked up an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City, which caused him to miss Friday’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Terry was expected to miss at least ten days due to the injury.
However, the defender took to Instagram to post a pic of himself doing some light ball work, with the caption: ‘back training today.’
Terry also posted a video of himself, with his ankle strapped, working out in a swimming pool, with the caption: ‘Late night session in the pool. My ankle is feeling much better, hopefully I will be back soon”.
Terry will definitely miss Chelsea’s EFL Cup clash with Leicester City on Tuesday, but hopes have increased that he may return against the Gunners.
