Chelsea have been handed a timely injury boost during the International break, as Victor Moses returned to outdoor training with the squad on Thursday.

Moses has missed the best part of a month with a hamstring injury, but now looks set to return for the Blues’ next Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion on November 18.

His absence and particularly Ngolo Kante’s injury has seen Chelsea struggle in recent matches, although they did manage a crucial 1-0 win against Manchester United last week.

Antonio Conte has used Davide Zappacosta and Cesar Azpilicueta to fill Moses’ right-back position in his absence, although neither have looked overly convincing.

Club legend Frank Lampard admitted that his former side had struggled without the Nigerian international.

“Moses is a miss,” said Lampard when asked about the 26-year-old’s impact. “You wouldn’t of thought that 18 months ago with what he’s given them in the right-wing back position.”

It’s not all good news for Chelsea on the fitness front though. Tiemoue Bakayoko limped out of training yesterday with a muscle injury and will be assessed by club doctors. The Frenchman has a history of injury trouble.

Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi had to pull out of the Belgium squad with a foot problem, and Alvaro Morata suffered a bizarre injury with Spain that forced him to sit out of training on Thursday.
