Chelsea has discovered that Napoli is prepared to reduce their demands for Victor Osimhen in an attempt to get rid of him during the transfer window. Osimhen himself raised rumours that he would be headed to the Premier League a few months ago when he made hints that he was prepared to move on this summer.
Although Chelsea and Osimhen’s other suitors believe the player’s €130 million (£110.8 million) release clause is far too rich, Napoli is now willing to part with its top asset for less. According to the Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Napoli has discussed the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku with Chelsea, suggesting that the two teams may make multiple deals this summer.
Chelsea and Maresca Really Want Osimhen Who Wants to Join
According to HITC, Osimhen’s £110 million release clause, which Napoli added to the star striker’s contract, is something that Chelsea is unwilling to pay. Amid worries about Financial Fair Play, the Blues would be eager to speak with Napoli over a potential transaction after having already spent over £1 billion during Boehly’s tenure.
As they continue to communicate with Osimhen’s representatives over a possible summer transfer, Chelsea is reportedly aiming for a well-known player. Star striker Osimhen was dubbed unstoppable by former Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi. According to HITC, Chelsea may jump on the deal if Napoli decide to sell him for less than £100 million. However, as of right now, De Laurentiis is “standing firm” on the value of the player.
