Reports in France say Chelsea have had a £22m bid for Tiemoue Bakayoko rejected by Monaco
French newspaper L’Equipe are now claiming that Chelsea have had a major set back in trying to land Bakayoko as Monaco are holding out for a fee closer to £42m.
The same report claims that the Blues have spoke with Monaco about signing Bakayoko, however. their initial bid was immediately rejected by the Ligue 1 champions.
Reports are also saying Bakayoko is keen on a transfer away from Monaco this summer.
Chelsea are said to be on the hunt for new signings this summer as Conte prepares his team for Champions League Football next season.
Some Chelsea FC News outlets are saying the Blues are ready to bid big for Roma defender Kostas Manolas as Conte looks to boost his squad at Stamford Bridge.
