Chelsea have TWO bids rejected for Marquinhos

Another defender on Chelsea’s radar

Chelsea have today had two bids rejected for Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos.

The Blues were linked with the Brazilian international earlier in the transfer window, but have only made a serious approach for the player on Deadline Day.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, the two bids from Jose Mourinho were between €30 million and €35 million. However, Laurent Blanc wants to keep his man and the French champions have rejected both the attempts from the Premier League champions.

The West London club have already brought in one centre-half today in the shape Papy Djilobodji; and look set to sign Reading central defender Michael Hector as well.

It remains to be seen if they will lodge a third offer for Marquinhos, who could be the big name alternative to Everton’s John Stones.
