Blues confident of landing Argentine on a free transfer
Chelsea are confident of signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports.
The Argentine’s representatives have been in London over the past few days holding talks with officials from Stamford Bridge, and it’s believed the talks were positive.
Chelsea were initially trying to sign Lavezzi this window, but it’s looking more likely that they’ll wait until he’s a free transfer at the end of the season, before signing him on a free.
Free Transfer
Due to the Bosman Rule, Chelsea have been able to talk to the PSG star and have reportedly offered him a contract ahead of next season.
Lavezzi’s deal in France expires in June and it’s now believed he will join Chelsea for the 2016/2017 campaign.
It’s reported that the Argentine’s representatives were happy with how the talks went with officials from Chelsea, and they are happy to do a deal with them.
