Chelsea have apparently stolen a march on rival London club Arsenal after holding talks with N’Golo Kante over a potential £20m deal to lure the star from Leicester City this summer.
Arsenal have long been linked with the playmaker and despite just signing Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka, Arsene Wenger looks to be still determined to land the 25-year-old Premier League star as part of a £40m double swoop on Leicester that could also see in form striker Jamie Vardy head over to the Emirates as well.
However, it looks as though the Blues have run ahead of the race over their London rivals as reports suggest that Chelsea officials have met with Kante’s camp on numerous occasions to discuss a deal to get the sought after star over to Stamford Bridge.
