Leonardo Bonucci’s agent has held talks with Chelsea over a summer deal for the Juventus defender, according to reports in Italy.
Bonucci has been reported as one of Conte’s long-term targets since his take over at Stamford Bridge last year.
Reports claim that Conte has asked Chelsea’s board to go for the Juventus centre-back this summer with a £7 million-a-year contract is ready to be offered.
La Stampa are claiming that Bonucci’s representative, Alessandro Lucci has been in London last week and met up with the Premier League champions.
The Turin-based newspaper are also claiming that the Blues are now ready to submit a €55 million (£48.6m) offer for the 30-year-old.
When asked about the prospect of leaving Juventus this summer, Bonucci said according to La Stampa: ‘It’s just talk’.
So at the moment, it’s all unconfirmed reports out of the media.
