Chelsea are in contact with Real Madrid over a possible move for Isco in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League leaders have been in touch with the 24-year-old’s agent to negotiate a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, according to The Sun.
However, the report also suggests that Manchester City are the favourites to sign the Spain international, with manager Pep Guardiola knowing that the playmaker is considering an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu when the season draws to a close.
Reports in Spain claim that Isco has a £34.2million buy-out clause, with his contract due to expire in the summer of 2018.
Isco admitted last week that he was frustrated about his lack of playing time with Zinedine Zidane’s outfit.
“I’m calm. What worries me is to have minutes,” he told beIN Sports.
“A player’s career is small.
“I’m happy here and would stay many more years.
“From now until the end of the season, we will make a decision. It is my future at stake.”
