Chelsea in pursuit of Juventus star
Chelsea are set to overtake Manchester United in their pursuit of Juventus defender Alex Sandro.
According to SunSport, a move to Chelsea is what the 26-year-old prefers after having made his plans of leaving the Serie A clear.
In a bid to keep rotating with Marcus Alonso, Conte is in pursuit of a left-back who can add value to the side. They had tried to chase Sandro all summer, but their move was cut short after the Brazilian’s price-tag was put at £80million by Juventus.
As the season has passed, the 26-year-old’s relationship with his current club has strained further, and Conte is interested in making a move for quite lower than the original £80million proposed.
As an alternative to Spurs defender Danny Rose, Manchester United had also zeroed in on Sandro, with the side keen to let go of of Luke Shaw.
Juventus could be forced to part ways with Sandro before they lock horns with Tottenham in the Champions League next February.
