Leicester’s Ben Chilwell has also had to pull out due to an injury
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ben Chilwell have both had to pull out of the England Under-21 squad today.
England announced on Twitter that the duo would be missing out on the side’s next game against Bosnia and Herzegovina and that both of them had returned to their respective clubs.
As of yet, what injuries they are suffering and the extent of their injuries hasn’t been revealed and so it is unclear how long the two players could be out of action for.
Good backup to have
Loftus-Cheek has only featured twice for the Blues this season so far and he is yet to appear in the Premier League this campaign. However, last season he played 17 times in all competitions, scoring two goals, including one against Aston Villa in the Prem.
However, he is good backup for Antonio Conte’s side to have and they’ll be hoping he isn’t ruled out for too long.
As for Ben Chilwell, it is a similar situation for him. He has only featured once so far this season for the senior side in the EFL Cup but again he provides the Foxes with a good left-back back-up option if they need it.
