Chelsea misfit Trevoh Chalobah might receive a lifeline when it seemed like his time at his childhood club was running out. The 25-year-old was not included in Enzo Maresca’s initial team plans and was recently notified he was surplus to requirements. At the close of the previous season, Chalobah pushed his way back into the starting lineup after Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile were signed.

Chalobah has been training with a group of roughly fifteen individuals known as the “bomb squad,” which also includes players like Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling. Conversely, Newcastle, who had been trying to recruit Guehi, is supposedly considering Disasi. The Athletic is the source of this data. Chalobah might be qualified for an unlikely reprieve should he move to St James’ Park because Chelsea is unlikely to sign a quick replacement.

Perhaps after just one season, Axel Disasi will leave Chelsea. Enzo Maresca, the new manager, reportedly told The Guardian that he will not be using Disasi this year. Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill are Maresca’s preferred center-back combination. In the starting lineup, Disasi is ranked lower than even this summer’s addition, Tosin Adarabioyo.

Now that he’s had a successful hernia procedure, Disasi’s position at Chelsea appears dangerous. Due to this, he was unable to play over the majority of the preseason, so the new head coach had little opportunity to see him. Disasi has been placed up for sale by Chelsea as a result, and Football Transfers reports that Newcastle is showing interest.
