Chelsea join race for Reus!

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has recently rejected an enhancement to his current deal with the German outfit. Although he is currently contracted with the Bundesliga stars until 2017, he does have an all-important buy-out clause. ÂŁ19.6million will secure his services elsewhere if anyone can activate it.

Many teams have registered an interest in the attacking midfielder in recent weeks. Both sides of Manchester, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and now the Blues of Chelsea are keen to bring the 25-year-old to West London.

Reus, who had to withdraw from the World Cup winning German squad through injury, has the world at his feet, and for less than ÂŁ20million he can now pick from Europe’s elite as to where his next career move will be.

Chelsea are already strong in all departments, but it is believed that the Blues picture Reus as the perfect man to play just behind Diego Costa. With Edin Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Ramires and Andre Schurrle already fighting for midfield positions in the line up every week, the signing of Reus would surely trigger a transfer scramble for one of these players after they are shown the Stamford Bridge exit door.

With Chelsea losing only their first game of the season at Newcastle this weekend, there is certainly no need to panic, and Jose Mourinho won’t be doing that. But an available world class player who should hold a World Cup winners medal, denied only by injury, for less than ÂŁ20million? Surely Jose wants a bit of that.
