Italian wants four stars should he become next manager

Italy head-coach Antonio Conte has handed Chelsea a four-man transfer wishlist should he become their next permanent manager.

Conte is just one name on Roman Abramovich‘s candidate list, along with fellow Italian Massimiliano Allegri, but with the Italy head-coach ready to step down after the Euros, he is likely to be available.

The Italian has admitted he wants a return to club management following the summer’s tournament, and according to reports, he’s already handed Chelsea a four-man transfer wishlist.

It’s believed Juventus star Paul Pogba is top of the list, and with the duo working together before, Conte is confident he can lure the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge.

However, the 22-year-old isn’t the only player Conte would be interested in if he came to the Bridge. The 42-year-old would also want to bring in Paris Saint-Germain stars, Marco Verratti and Ezquiel Lavezzi.

Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez is the fourth-man on Conte’s wishlist should he be appointed as the next permanent Chelsea manager.

Conte set to turn Chelsea around?

Pogba however is thought to be the main target for the Chelsea hierarchy.

If talks go to plan, Chelsea may announce the arrival of the new boss before Euro 2016 in order to cut out any speculation during the tournament.
