Blues allowing goalkeeper to choose destination

Chelsea will allow goalkeeper Petr Cech to sign for either Manchester United or Arsenal in this summer transfer window.

With the Blues willing to let their experienced second-choice keeper join another English club – Manchester United and Arsenal are both chasing the veteran’s signature.

Abramovich’s Blessing

Despite Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insisting in the past that he would not let Cech join a rival club, Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea board will not stand in his way if he wanted to join one of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals.

However, personal talks with the keeper have been stalled as he wants to concentrate on Czech Republic’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland on 12th June.

Talks between Cech’s representatives and Manchester United and Arsenal are scheduled to go ahead after the game.

The 33-year-old has made 494 appearances for the Blues over the last 11 years at Stamford Bridge but lost his starting position to Thibaut Courtois after the Belgian returned from Atletico Madrid after a three-season loan.
