The two players have been pivotal in the Saints’ push for European qualification, with Clyne’s form impressing England boss Roy Hodgson and leading to a call-up.

Meanwhile Schneiderlin has been heavily linked with a move away from St. Mary’s for some time now, with Arsenal and Tottenham the reported destinations.

According to reports, the French international, along with Clyne, are now on the wish-list of Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Whist Schneiderlin has proven himself after Southampton rejected his move away from the club in the summer, it will be difficult for the south coast side to keep hold of their star midfielder as the Frenchman’s desire to play Champions League football increases.

Ronald Koeman however is expected to want at least. £25m for the man who has risen from League One with the club, all the way to playing at the World Cup last year.

Clyne meanwhile, also linked with a move to Manchester United, goes into the final year of his contract at Southampton in July.
