Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has reportedly been keeping a close eye on the young Ipswich defender and is hoping to beat Arsenal and Manchester United to secure his future as a Blues player.

21 year old, Tyrone Mings who currently earns his trade at Ipswich has impressed Mourinho with his ability to play at left or centre back.

Mings who signed for Ipswich in 2013 for £10,000 has impressed since making his debut and recently had a £3million pound bid from Crystal Palace rejected. The 6ft 3inch player is thought to be a rising English star and could be a very viable option for Jose as he looks for a long term replacement of the Blues captain John Terry.

Chelsea have also been heavily linked with the likes of Gerard Pique and Raphael Varane in hope of finding a replacement for John Terry who turns 34 next month before he retires.
