Miranda was a crucial part of Atletico’s successful campagin under the reigns of Diego Simeone last season, which saw the Madrid club win La Liga and reach the Champions League final.
The Brazilian’s performaces have sparkled much interest from Chelsea boss Jose Mourihno, and according to latest reports, the Portuguese manager has slapped in a £20 million bid to bring the defender to Stamford Bridge this summer. The 29-year-old has a £24 million release clause in his contract but the Blues believe they will be able to lure him for a cheaper fee.
Manchester United and Barcelona are also linked with the player, but it is understood that the Brazilian would prefer a move to re-united with former team-mates Diego Costa and Felipe Luis at Chelsea. Despite Mourihno last week insisting that the Blues wouldn’t be bringing in anymore players to Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea have since pounced for Didier Drogba and has been linked with a large qauntity of players.
