The Brazilian U20 international has a contract at current club Santos FC which is due to run out in 18 months time and reports are suggesting that three of Englands biggest clubs are all lining up a summer move to lure the forward over to the Premier League.
Barbosa, who has nine goals in his 37 senior appearances for Santos, has a release clause which is set at £40m, but it is likely that bids around £24m will be enough to secure the youngster.
Aswell as the three English clubs chasing, Wolfsburg have also expressed an interest in Barbosa, but so far it is Spanish giants Barcelona who are leading the chase for the 18 year old.
When Barcelona purchased fellow Brazilian Neymar just over a year ago, they were able to clinch a ‘first-rights’ deal for Barbosa, meaning that the rest will have to wait in line.
