Juventus defender has been linked with Stamford Bridge move

Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci is unlikely to follow his countryman Antonio Conte to Chelsea this summer.

It’s heavily reported that Conte will become the new Chelsea manager ahead of next season, replacing interim-boss Guus Hiddink after the European Championships.

Despite not officially being announced as the new manager just yet, Conte is believed to be planning for life at Stamford Bridge and even putting together a transfer wishlist.

Sitting near the top of that list is Bonucci of Juventus, but he’s recently admitted that it’s unlikely he’ll join his countryman in the Premier League.

Chelsea are in need of new defenders in the summer with John Terry leaving and Kurt Zouma out injured, but Bonucci has issued a blow to Conte ahead of the summer transfer window

Bonucci Eyeing Juve Stay

“If I’ve ever followed Conte, then it’s been to get a coffee at most,” Bonucci said.

“I don’t know where he’s going to go [next season], but I’ve signed a new contract with Juventus and I’m only thinking about the Bianconeri.”
