Blues ready to wrap up first deal of January
Chelsea have offered a contract to Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira, according to reports.
The Brazilian forward is highly likely to leave the Ukrainian outfit this window, with Stamford Bridge his likely destination, and according to reports, Chelsea have made a big step in wrapping up the deal.
Shakhtar‘s manager announced last week that he wouldn’t step in Teixeira‘s way should he choose to quit the club to move to the Premier League champions, and it’s now expected the deal will be wrapped up fairly quickly.
The fee is believed to be around £30million for the 26-year-old, and a contract has reportedly been offered to him from the English club.
Teixeira has been in impressive form for the Ukraine side, scoring 22 goals in just 15 league games so far this season.

It’s not yet understood the details of the contract, but if the deal can be finalised and completed, it could see Loic Remy leave the club on a short-term loan.
The Frenchman is desperate to get regular game-time, something which isn’t likely to happen at Chelsea, so he could be on his way out of the club this month on a short-term deal.
