The striker says he has ‘unfinished business’ at the club and they could be set to try and re-sign him

Romelu Lukaku has sparked rumours that he could be returning to Chelsea by claiming he has ‘unfinished business’ at the club.

According to the Mirror, Chelsea were already keeping a close eye on the Belgium international, who they sold to Everton back in 2014. Now, the striker himself has dropped a hint that if the Blues were to go in for him then he could join them by saying his work at the club isn’t done.

It is believed that Lukaku does want to leave Everton to join a bigger club this summer and there will be no shortage of top teams vying for his signature. Man United are one of the sides to have been linked with a move but it is the Blues who are back in pole position to sign him.

Conte looking to overhaul the squad

Chelsea will have a new manager in charge after the Euros when Antonio Conte takes the reigns and he is expected to be handed a huge sum of money by owner Roman Abramovich in a bid to overhaul the squad, bring in some fresh faces and take them back to the top of the Premier League.

A large chunk of that money could be spent on the 22-year old, with Everton reluctant to let their star striker go. A bid would need to be at least ÂŁ30m for the Toffees to even contemplate letting their forward go, with Roberto Martinez hoping for around ÂŁ50m.
