Here you will find the Chelsea player ratings from the Blues 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the EFL Cup Quarter Final.

Wilfredo Caballero: 6/10

Chelsea’s number 2 was barely tested in the game before Gosling’s equalizer. Other than the goal, Caballero had to thwart away a Callum Wilson effort which was the only Bournemouth chance which tested the Chelsea custodian.

Anthony Rudiger: 6.5/10

The German defender put in an authoritative performance on the night. He was strong in the air and made one brilliant last-ditch tackle on Jordan Ibe when he was close to being through on goal.

Gary Cahill: 6/10

Cahill looked nervous in the first few exchanges of the game but grew confident as the match went on. When needed in the second half, Cahill was surely switched on and helped out the youngsters around him.

Ethan Ampadu: 8/10

The 17-year-old is rated as one of the brightest academy talents at Cobham and the teenage centre-back gave a glimpse of his immense skill set. Ampadu tackled Smith brilliantly in the first half and then narrowed down Jordan Ibe in a one on one situation.

A yellow card after 90 seconds might have put any other young defender under pressure but Ampadu looked solid and backed himself even after getting a booking.

Davide Zappacosta: 4.5/10

A forgettable night for the Italian as the wing back could not enjoy much luck on the right flank. He could not create an impact going forward and was easily beaten at times by Jordan Ibe.

Kennedy: 6.5/10

The youngster showed work rate and trickery in equal measures. His delightful backheel to Cesc Fabregas created the first goal and was a constant threat on the left wing. But his delivery failed to trouble the Bournemouth defence on numerous occasions.

Danny Drinkwater: 6/10

A sensible performance from the former Leicester man. He was quick in passing and also shielded his defence wall. Drinkwater’s 50/50 challenge win against Harry Arter was loved by the Stamford Bridge faithful as slowly but surely, the Chelsea fans are getting to see the real Danny Drinkwater.

Cesc Fabregas: 7/10

The Spaniard showed tremendous awareness to tee up Willian for the opening goal. His passing range was exquisite as usual and he also impressed with his work without the ball when Bournemouth were dominating in the second half.

Pedro Rodriguez: 5.5/10

Pedro was surprisingly silent on the night with the winger not being able to run at defenders with success. He created a wonderful chance for the striker in the first half but Batshuayi was stopped in his tracks by Simon Cook.

Willian: 6.5/10

The Brazilian took his goal well by being at the right place at the right time and looked lively during some duration of the game. But two lapses in concentration in defence could have proved costly as Bournemouth could not capitalize on Willian’s mistakes. Conte took him off after the hour mark.

Michy Batshuayi: 6/10

The striker worked hard for the team but could not get that much-needed goal that eludes him. He showed fine touches in the box but could not sort his feet or create space to take a shot. This game will go down as a chance missed by Batshuayi to prove himself.

Substitutions

Eden Hazard: 6.5/10

Bournemouth were on top when Conte decided to bring on Hazard. The Belgian created a brilliant impact for the Blues as it was him who put Morata through on goal with a deft backheel.

Tiemoue Bakayako: 7/10

Chelsea were losing the midfield battle in the second half but the entry of Tiemoue Bakayako changed the equation of the game. Bakayako looked strong in possession and even without it. He has looked good in the past couple of weeks as the Frenchman continued his fine run of form against Bournemouth.

Alvaro Morata: 8/10

The striker cleared the ball poorly which led to Bournemouth’s equalizer but made up for it by making no mistake at the other end to send Chelsea into the semis. Morata took his chance with calmness and beat Boruc with a toe-poked shot.

But he received a booking for his celebration after scoring the winner. This means that Morata will miss Saturday’s away game against Everton through suspension.
